The College of Professional Studiesis one of nine colleges of Northeastern University a nationally ranked private research university. Founded in 1960 the College provides lifelong experiential learning that unleashes the capacities of aspiring individuals in all stages and walks of life. The College teaches undergraduate graduate and doctoral students on campus and online in more than 90 programs.
About the Opportunity:
NU Global is a leader in innovative educational programs for international students. We offer ESL and content courses to help prepare students for undergraduate and graduate studies at Northeastern University.
Responsibilities:
NU Global is seeking dynamic academicallyfocused English language teachers. Onground semesterbased courses include academic listening speaking reading and writing at the upper intermediate and advanced levels and some contentbased instruction. Schedules vary with teaching loads from three to eighteen hours per week.
Qualifications:
US work authorization required
Masters degree in English Teaching English as a Second Language Applied Linguistics or closely related field
At least two years of experience teaching in a higher education environment
Demonstrated commitment to student success
Ability and willingness to collaborate with peers on student success strategies
Positions are available contingent upon enrollment funding and departmental needs.
Stipend rates vary per course.
