Job Overview
TMobile for Businesss (TFB) Strategy & Planning Team works with executive leaders from across the company to build the business strategy for TFB. As the Sr. Business Strategist you focus on identifying growth opportunities for our key products (e.g. Internet of Things) tracking market trends and competitors and delivering insights on critical business decisions. This position works closely with Product Finance Marketing Technology and Sales.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Takes a leading role on projects working closely with internal stakeholders to understand key business issues structure and perform complex analyses and influence key decisions.
  • Synthesizes recommendations and understands their impact on the business.
  • Constructs executivelevel presentations and presents complex findings in a clear concise and visually compelling manner.
  • Identifies company and competitor trends impacting TFB and delivers insights to executives across the organization.
  • Builds financial and other decisionmaking models such as market share and business case estimates.
  • Works with crossfunctional stakeholders to gain buyin and drive change.
  • Coordinates crossfunctional activities such as Earnings Call and Board of Directors preparations.
  • Crafts messaging tailored to specific audiences including summarizing past performance results and future growth initiatives.
  • Supports strategy project leads on adhoc team deliverables.
Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree Business Management Economics Statistics or related field (Required)
  • Masters/Advanced Degree MBA Finance Strategy Economics (Preferred)
  • 710 years Management consulting investment banking corporate strategy or other related experience requiring quantitative analysis and executive presentation skills. (Required)
  • Less than 2 years Prior experience in B2B Product Strategy and/or Telecom. (Preferred)
  • 47 years Strategy and Problem Solving experience in framing complex problems identifying key issues that impact business decisions and providing data driven recommendations. (Required)
  • 47 years Financial modeling and Analytics. Experience in developing financial models and performing financial and operating analysis and reporting including analyzing complex data. (Required)
  • Less than 2 years Project management. Experience managing project independently engaging and getting buyin from stakeholders creating roadmaps and project plans. (Preferred)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Strategy Proactive problem solver who can break ambiguous problems into pieces using a hypothesisdriven approach. Ability to frame problems use strategic frameworks develop strategies. (Required)
  • Business Acumen Business Model: Knowledge and understanding of business models pricing strategies channel management. Analytical and datadriven comfortable triangulating data to estimate market sizes and build financial models. (Required)
  • Financial Analysis Ability to build financial models and develop qualitative analysis perform sensitivity analysis. Comfortable reading and understanding implications of income statements balance sheets cash flow statements. (Required)
  • Communication Ability to synthesize analysis into succinct executiveready written visual and verbal communications. Ability to articulate rationale and present in front of senior leaders. Effective communicator who knows how to bring structure and clarity to situations where direction is limited. (Required)
  • Problem Solving Critical Thinking: Ability to think through complex problems. Intellectually curious enjoys researching about new technologies and products. Natural hustler with a contagious cando attitude. (Required)
  • High Performance Teams Team player adept at working with others to overcome obstacles and gain alignment to achieve results (Required)
  • Project Management Ability to think a few steps ahead to lay out thoughtful and achievable project plans in a disciplined manner. Understand how to engage others and what information and data is needed to achieve goals. (Preferred)
  • Telecommunications Wireless and technology industry: Knowledge of the wireless / telecom industry and technology sector (Preferred)

    Base Pay Range: $129700 $234000

    Corporate Bonus Target: 20

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At TMobile employees in regular nontemporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a yearend bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
