Amazon Business Customer Support (ABCS) is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to help build next generation metrics and drive business analytics that have a measurable impact. This role is inherently crossfunctional. You will work closely with finance and engineering teams as well as with leadership across ABCS Amazon Customer Service and Amazon Business (AB).
As a BIE you will develop strategic reports design User Interface (UI) and drive projects that support the ABCS team and influence the decision making of the Worldwide Operations team. You will continuously learn new systems tools and industry best practices to help design new studies and build new tools that help our team automate and accelerate analytics. You will work with a team of analytics professionals who are passionate about using machine learning to build automated systems and solve problems that matter to our customers. Your work will directly impact our customers and operations.
A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of different businesses and customer profiles as well as the underlying analytics. Candidates for this role should have the ability to translate business requirements into analysis collect and analyze data and make recommendations back to the business.

Key job responsibilities
Scope design and build database structure and schema to enable ABCS team members to selfserve.
Create data pipelines using extract transform and load (ETL) connections/SQL queries to bring new attributes into the ABCS master database.
Retrieve and analyze data using a broad set of Amazons data technologies and resources.
Pull data on an adhoc basis using SQL queries.
Design build and maintain automated reporting dashboards and analyses to enable our team to focus on solving ambiguous problems.
Conduct deep dives to identify root causes of pain points and opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) teams to ensure ABCS uses globally standard metrics and definitions.
Collaborate with finance and business partners to gather data and metrics requirements.

About the team
ABCS Analytics supports all the teams within ABCS partner teams within AB and CS and other support teams for any analytical and data requirements. We are responsible for maintaining the ABCS databases data pipelines from AB data sources to the ABCS datasets.
We create and maintain ABCS Reporting Suite and ensure that all the ABCS team members are enabled with the right data and can selfserve to drive data driven decisions.
3 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift Oracle NoSQL etc. experience
Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R SAS and Matlab
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2 DynamoDB S3 and Redshift
Experience in data mining ETL etc. and using databases in a business environment with largescale complex datasets
