Successful completion of 2year Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education Program
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires constant handeye and mindeye coordination hearing; intermittent speaking standing walking and writing. The ability to provide physical management to students with behavior or selfcare needs is required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated skills in human relations leadership and conflict management. Demonstrated competency in word processing spreadsheets and databases.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
Leads assigned classes in accordance with District approved programs of study.
Abides by School Board policies and rules and handbooks.
Maintains student records in compliance with district state and federal requirements.
Participates in parent conferences and communicates with parents on a routine basis keeping them wellinformed about their childs school progress.
Utilizes effective teaching techniques and practices.
Establishes student success as a primary teaching goal and provides opportunity for all students to experience success.
Promotes developmental growth and achievement for all students.
Monitors and encourages student classroom effort as a means for academic progress.
Establishes classroom management system that promotes the most efficient use of learning time.
Establishes a learning climate that promotes the orderly behavior of all students while maintaining the dignity and positive selfconcept of each student.
Provides for the wellbeing health and safety of all students.
Participates in staff development opportunities as provided.
Maintains the confidentiality of students and their families.
Performs other duties as assigned.
PAY INFORMATION
Specialist Level KX starting at $22.88 per hour (based on thesalary schedulesalary schedule coming soon!
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTE
Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch
1.0 FTE 40 hours per week 9 months
