Job Description
The Department of Population Health Science and Policy and the Division of Liver Disease at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is looking for a clinical research coordinator (CRC)/health educator interested in community outreach engagement health disparities and health education. This position is focused on community outreach and education focused on liver cancer screening efforts in atrisk communities. Overall our work is focused on community outreach engagement education and navigation to enhance our understanding of disparities in cancer incidence and mortality. This CRC will work with others in our Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) group (see our website noted below for details).

Responsibilities
- Focus on immigrant communities and their needs related to liver cancer education screening and navigation.
- Requires knowledge of:
- Communitybased participatory research
- Community engagement
- Program development
- Health systems
- Public health issues
- Health education planning and evaluation
- Responsibilities include:
- Community outreach and engagement
- Developing and delivering health education programs
- Navigating community members to health care
- Attending community events (e.g. educational programs)
- Some weekend and evening hours required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in science or related field preferred or a combination of relevant research experience and education
- 02 years of research/human subjects experience. Preferred in ethnic studies psychology sociology related health and social service disciplines.
- Fluent in Russian
- Exceptional interpersonal written and oral communication skills including a great sense of humor
- Have the ability to prioritize and multi task
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel
- Be highly energetic and flexible
- Able to work as an integral team member
- Able to work evenings and weekends if necessary
