The Packaging/Insp. Technician III is responsible for the of setup changeover repairs and preventative maintenance for equipment used in the inspection and packaging processes. Must be able to perform repairs and preventative maintenance activities on production equipment with little to no supervision and provide direction and training to technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and break down of inspection and packaging lines
Troubleshoot and repair equipment/system issues
Perform and properly document all equipment maintenance per SOP
Identifying and correcting unsafe conditions
Maintain Safety Expectations including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Maintain housekeeping of own work area
Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
AA degree in related discipline vocational or trade school certification required.
3 years of previous relevant experience in a cGMP manufacturing working environment or mechanical working experience required.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of manufacturing machines and advanced troubleshooting skills.
Well versed in safety programs (e.g. Lock out / Tag out line breaking).
Advanced skills including: electrical welding machinery troubleshooting and mechanical equipment
Use of small hand tools
Knowledge of 120V 220V AC/ 324VDC troubleshooting down to electronic components preferred.
Knowledge of pneumatics solid state relays and transformers
Knowledgeable in cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) preferred.
Able to read and understand engineering electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Must be able to read documents in Standard English such as Standard Operating Procedures maintenance schedules and operating manuals.
Working knowledge of PLC based control systems preferred.
Basic Microsoft Office and Windows skills
Flexibility to work multiple shifts and off hours during shutdown plus overtime.
Physical Environment and Requirements
Physically able to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment including but not limited to gowning goggles face shields respirators and protective gloves. PPE and Respirators are essential for the health and safety of employees.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for prolonged periods of time while fulfilling job duties.
Expected Hourly Rate:
$30.00$34.00
