Know Your Rights: John Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced PRN (as needed) House Supervisor to join our healthcare team in Leavenworth Kansas. The House Supervisor plays a critical leadership role ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital during assigned shifts. This position requires strong clinical expertise excellent leadership skills and the ability to make quick informed decisions to support patient care and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight of hospital operations during assigned shifts ensuring highquality patient care and safety.
Act as a resource and point of contact for clinical and nonclinical staff addressing concerns and facilitating communication across departments.
Manage staffing levels including evaluating and adjusting nurse staffing to meet patient care needs effectively.
Respond to and resolve patient care issues emergencies and staff concerns promptly and professionally.
Oversee admissions transfers and discharges to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal resource utilization.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to implement policies procedures and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with hospital standards regulatory requirements and best practices.
Provide support during critical incidents including code responses and other emergencies.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
1. Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. One 1 year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
5. Minimum of three 3 years acute care nursing experience
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
