Job Description
Cornerstone Family Healthcare is actively recruiting for a per diem X-ray Technologist to join our growing team in Newburgh NY.
RATE OF PAY/SALARY: $40.00 per hour
WORK LOCATION(S): Newburgh NY
STATUS: Per Diem
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

- Operate or oversee operation of radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
- Review and evaluate x-rays to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during Radiologic Procedure.
- Position and immobilize patient on examining table.
- Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.
- Take thorough and accurate patient medical histories.
- Provide assistance with such tasks as dressing and changing to seriously ill injured or disabled patients.
- Attend and participate in monthly department All Staff and other required meetings.
- Be familiar with and adhere to all clinical administrative and general policies and procedures as outlined in the Cornerstone Family Healthcare Policy and Procedure Manual and Employee Handbook.
- Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of Cornerstone Family Healthcare including but not limited to patient confidentiality financials and employee relations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology accredited school
- New York State License to Practice Radiologic Technology
