Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to join IQVIA Laboratories in Durham NC in a Hybrid role.

You will be assisting with the development and implementation of an enterprise architecture that supports future IQVIA systems products and platforms aligning with business product strategy.
What youll be doing:
- Assisting with the ongoing development and implementation of an enterprise architecture.
- Participating in crossfunctional product development and acting as a consultant to provide system and technical advice.
- Staying updated with technology changes and identifying opportunities for implementation in future systems.
- Participating in R&D projects and managing them in compliance with standard project management practices.
- Mentoring and assisting lowerlevel architects system administrators and business analysts.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science a related field or equivalent experience.
- Five 5 years of experience in Linux System Administration and architecture.
- IT consulting or project management experience.
- Exposure to enterprise architecture and petabyte storage systems.
- Other equivalent combinations of education training and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
The knowledge skills and abilities needed for this role:
- Strong scripting skills in bash and one other scripting language.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and VMWare.
- Strong knowledge of NFS.
- Comfortable in an HPC environment and with the SLURM Scheduler.
- Familiarity with SALT server management is a huge bonus.
- Familiarity with working in a regulated environment is a bonus.
- Ability to apply technology to business strategies and employ consulting skills.
- Broad knowledge of current technology tools and techniques for software development.
