Job Description
As part of the Amazon Healthcare Finance Operations Services team you will find yourself working with exceptionally talented and determined people committed to driving financial improvement scalability and process excellence. To support the growth of Amazon Health this candidate must possess a strong passion for accountability setting high standards raising the bar and driving results through constant focus on improving existing and future state operations systems and processes.
The ideal candidate is an experienced operator and leader in Revenue Cycle Management. This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of revenue cycle programs designed to improve the customer financial experience and optimize revenue capture coding collections and cash posting processes.
This position will proactively identify develop and execute critical process improvement initiatives to drive best practice performance and favorably impact accounts receivable cash acceleration and net revenue.
The Finance Operations organization works with every part of Amazon to provide procuretopay revenuetoreceipt realestate and facilities operations accounting and operations excellence services with the highest level of controllership at the lowest cost to the company. We provide the backbone systems and operational processes which completely accurately and validly pay Amazons suppliers invoice our customers and report financial results. Amazon is quickly building the Finance Operations capabilities in the healthcare industry by creating the Healthcare Finance Operations Services.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the overall portfolio of strategic revenue cycle initiatives with a focus on improving efficiency enhancing our automation capabilities and launching new capabilities to support business growth.
Serve as the single threaded leader for revenue cycle tools responsible for sourcing new solutions leading design and implementation activities supporting the solution rollout and overseeing vendor/partner relationships.
Develop execute and maintain detailed and continuous process improvement plans with an emphasis on standardization scalability and automation. Scope includes but is not limited to reducing days in accounts receivable increasing cash application efficiencies reducing bad debt writeoffs and eliminating avoidable writeoffs.
Collaborates with business partners on optimization efforts and represent AR interests in upstream projects that will affect accounts receivables.
Develop strategic recommendations that support our ongoing system design and automation initiatives
Coordinate cross functionally to develop fully informed views and insights into the drivers behind data and present findings clearly and concisely.
5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
5 years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
6 years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
6 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience
6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
