As a Software Development Engineer you will engage with an experienced crossdisciplinary staff to conceive design and bring to market innovative developer tools. You will work closely with an internal interdisciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition and test. You must be responsive flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

The ideal candidate has current and extensive experience developing and building embedded device firmware and BT/WiFi connectivity. The candidate understands what the limitations of the platform are and can design and implement additional services or help optimize existing ones to meet the product requirements. The ideal candidate:

Has indepth expertise working with Embedded system
Indepth knowledge and experience with Bluetooth Technology
Experience on bootloader and device drivers development and enjoy working on hardware directly
Enjoys working side by side with partners colleagues and related teams
Is highly effective and thrives in a dynamic environment with multiple changing priorities
Knows what is important when releasing software to developers and has been through the process from start to finish
Is comfortable with proactive outward communication and technical leadership and never shies away from a challenge

A day in the life
In a typical day you will work closely with Remote Controller and FireTV SoC vendors ODMs Hardware team and technical program managers to create new platform features customize Remote controller firmware based on hardware designs address issues in firmware areas like Bluetooth SDK drivers bootloader etc. improve system performance and stability and deliver customer loving high quality smart TV products on time.

Remote Firmware team in Smart TV Platform team is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of highperformance and highly stable platform for Smart TV products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience in embedded development in C/C or experience in embedded wireless systems
Experience developing system test automation infrastructure

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
