Clark College is currently accepting applications for a fulltime Tenuretrack Art Professor with an emphasis in Art History. The Art Department at Clark currently offers two Associate in Fine Arts degrees one in Studio Art and one in Graphic Design. We also offer specialized concentrations in art and design within the AA/DTA degree. Art History classes are required for all of the various programs. In addition to teaching classes in art history the ideal candidate will have experience working and teaching in a studio art discipline. Faculty in the art department participate and contribute to the cocurricular art initiatives on campus develop interdisciplinary curriculum with other departments across campus and within the art department and pursue/engage in community partnerships with local arts organizations to expand opportunities for our students.
Successful candidates will maintain a welcoming and supportive environment with students of diverse multicultural socioeconomic and academic backgrounds and work collaboratively to find innovative ways to improve student success and energize students about art. Department and college service work is expected with the position (as assigned by the division or college) to support the institutional mission and goals foremost being student success and retention. This position begins September 12 2025.

SALARY STATEMENT:
Starting salary is $78327 (nonnegotiable). Faculty may be eligible to advance every other year; current top step is $110332. Salary is for a 173day contract; additional compensation is available for summer and moonlight teaching and doctoral and vocational stipends. Please note the salary may be adjusted for theyear pending the legislatively funded costofliving.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
