We are seeking 2025 job market candidates with PhDs in economics or a related field with training in econometrics and quantitative methods or MBAs with a quantitative background. A concentration in applied microeconomics labor economics industrial organization econometrics or finance is preferred. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills strong presentation and project management skills and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
Consultants at NERA will have the opportunity to:
Apply the technical skills and knowledge gained during their graduate studies
Conduct highpowered economic research across a wide variety of industries
Develop economic and financial models to answer critical business questions
Perform cuttingedge economic analysis on complex reallife issues
Write research reports and client presentations for senior staff and clients to help them make informed economic decisions
Influence/direct project strategy including the preparation and presentation of oral and written testimony
Collaborate with inhouse experts and outside academics
Manage client relationships
Develop and strengthen both project and people management skills

The applicable base salary range for this role is $210000 to $235000per year.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications and educationand any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a casebycase basis.
