The Position
The City of Yuba City is recruiting for Police Officer Academy Graduate!
**Hiring Incentive! $5000**
Police Officers conduct preliminary crime scene investigations prepare reports and work with citizens and youth in a variety of crime prevention and safety programs. The position will work out of the Yuba City Police Department located at 1545 Poole Blvd Yuba City CA 95993.
The first payment of $2500 would be made upon the successful hiring of the candidate. The second payment would be upon the successful completion of the field training program.

The Police Department is located in a modern 23000 square foot building with current expansion to accommodate future city growth related police needs. The Department is committed to providing excellent customer service and innovative law enforcement by utilizing community oriented policing and fostering employee empowerment. The Yuba City Police Department utilizes what is recognized as some of the most superior Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) hardware and software available in the U.S today.

- Education:Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth 12th) grade supplemented by college level coursework in law enforcement criminal justice or a closely related field.
Experience:No experience required.
Licenses and/or Certifications Required:- Must have successfully completed a POST academy program or provide a letter from the academy indicating current enrollment with an anticipated graduation date. Applicants mustsubmit a copy of POST certification or academy letter within 3 business days of application submission. - Possession of a valid California Drivers License and a satisfactory driving record to be maintained throughout employment.
Please note: If hired while in the Police Academy the Police Academy Grad shall be paid at the Police Recruit hourly rate. Upon successful graduation from the Police Academy the Police Academy Gradshall receive Police Officer hourly rate. Important Information
