We are seeking a tenured Principal Technical Program Manager with a deep technical background and a successful history of delivering highimpact multiorganizational and multiyear initiatives. This role is critical for driving the Premium Shopping Experience for Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a Principal TPM who will be responsible for defining and delivering programs with significant complexity and/or that have broad crossorganizational global or technology impact.
Your work will focus on large engineering efforts that solve significantly complex or endemic problems.
You will be trusted to operate with complete independence and are often assigned to focus on areas where the business and/or architectural strategy has not yet been defined.
You effectively partner with all levels of leadership. You are adept at building consensus. You are able to represent verbally and in writing complex decisions tradeoffs and potential solutions clearly to leaders up to 3 levels above to help them understand the decisions they have to make and what options they have.
You influence organization priorities system owners business and technology direction.
You manage crossfunctional communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and needs aligned.
You recognize when current programs are susceptible to prior technology failure patterns and actively steer teams to avoid repeating these failures.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
