Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
Associate degree in nursing or social sciences preferred.
1 year nursing experience required preferably treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of work experience.
1 year medication administration experience preferred.
Valid California LVN or LPT license required.
How you will make a difference:
- Visually and audibly observes documents in writing and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
- Orders prepares administers and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians or nurse practitioners orders.
- Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.
- Communicates pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members.
- Assists in crisis intervention (including the use of ProACT) and provides support and assistance in problem resolution. Uses ProACT to appropriately intervene with ive/volatile clients.
- Reads and responds to company communications via email telephone or other selected mode within a reasonable timeframe.
- Logs into established company information sharing sites regularly to maintain current knowledge of changes in policy procedure events etc..

- Rehabilitation/recovery services including substance use rehabilitation services
- Prevocational or vocational counseling
- Medication evaluation and support services
