Job Title:

On Call Licensed Vocational Nurse

Division/Program:

(Adult Inpatient) Crisis Residential Unit

Starting Compensation:

33.60 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Merced CA

Working Hours/Shift:

On Call Availability as needed: 12 hour shifts AM 6am630pm or 6pm630am NOC. $2 Differential for NOC Shift.

What you bring to SBHG:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.

  • Associate degree in nursing or social sciences preferred.

  • 1 year nursing experience required preferably treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of work experience.

  • 1 year medication administration experience preferred.

  • Valid California LVN or LPT license required.

How you will make a difference:

  • Visually and audibly observes documents in writing and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
  • Orders prepares administers and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians or nurse practitioners orders.
  • Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.
  • Communicates pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members.
  • Assists in crisis intervention (including the use of ProACT) and provides support and assistance in problem resolution. Uses ProACT to appropriately intervene with ive/volatile clients.
  • Reads and responds to company communications via email telephone or other selected mode within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Logs into established company information sharing sites regularly to maintain current knowledge of changes in policy procedure events etc..

  • Rehabilitation/recovery services including substance use rehabilitation services
  • Prevocational or vocational counseling
  • Medication evaluation and support services

(In accordance with California law the salary grade for this position is listed above. Starting pay within the grade is determined based on experience internal equity and other factors permitted by law.
