Job Description
Mary Immaculate Primary in Quakers Hill is seeking a skilled Groundsman who will be responsible to support the other services of a school including but not limited to cleaning building and grounds maintenance.
This is a temporary role covering Thursdays and Fridays 8:30am 3:30pm. To commenceTerm 2 until the end of Term 4.
About the Opportunity:
We are accepting all applications that hold the relevant experience or qualifications which meet the criteria of our school. More specifically you will have:
- nonspecialised repair work;
- undertaking general gardening tasks including preparation and planting procedures;
- operating maintaining and adjusting turf machinery under general supervision;
- applying fertilisers fungicides herbicides and insecticides under general supervision;
- responding to alarms following emergency procedures and preparing incident reports inspecting and securing buildings;
- providing assistance to qualified tradespersons in building and furniture maintenance;
- undertake any other duties as requested by the Principal and/or Principals Delegate. This may include operation of the schools security system when commencing/finishing a shift.
Interviews may be conducted prior to the closing date.
Essential Qualifications and Accreditations:
To be successful in this role the following below is a mandatory requirement:
Does not have a trade qualification (Certificate III) but has a skill level which assumes and requires knowledge training or experience relevant to the duties to be performed however highly desirable
Undergo a Medical Clearance with our partnering provider to satisfactory completion
Valid Working with Children Check
