Amazons global fulfillment business is one of the largest and most complex operations in the world. Our technologically advanced warehouses are at the center. They form the invisible back half of Amazon that magically turns your click of a button into a product at your door. Amazon Sortation Technologies are a key part of that solution enabling the flow of inventory into and out of warehouses and the consolidation of items for a you ready for a challenge Would you like to use your engineering or computer science background to optimize and solve complex problems in Amazon Fulfillment Technologies Are you interested in building algorithms that predict the state of downstream systems and make decisions in realtime As a Software Development Engineer you will be responsible to develop our next generation of systems work that includes directing containers on the sorters and workcells scaling our systems to handle hundreds of thousands of concurrent transactions. The candidate in this role will have an opportunity to own design and development of distributed systems on AWS platform. You will influence system design and implementation to ensure the best user experience for maximum adoption. You will contribute to a wide range of projects in a highly collaborative and fastpaced environment. You will become part of a worldclass engineering team solving challenging problems at scale.A commitment to teamwork hustle and strong communication skills are absolute requirements. Creating reliable scalable and highperformance services and architectures require exceptional technical expertise. If you have that type of expertise you enjoy working on complex system software you are customercentric and you are motivated about building systems that can be operated at global scale with minimal human intervention then we want to talk to you!
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
