Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Wolviston United Kingdom. As a Kitchen Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring a smooth food service experience for our customers.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks including washing peeling and chopping ingredients
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment by washing dishes utensils and kitchen equipment
- Support chefs and other kitchen staff in their daily tasks
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimise waste
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries keeping the storage areas organised
- Follow all food safety and hygiene practices to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations as needed
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
Qualifications :
- Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to safely use and maintain kitchen equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred
- Food hygiene certificate is desirable
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as required
