Head of Consolidation and Accounting Reporting

We are looking for an experienced Head of consolidation and Accounting reporting to join our global finance team.

In this role you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all balance consolidationrelated matters for 33 legal entities ensuring compliance with international reporting regulations and driving reporting optimization strategies. You will work closely with management external  consultants and fiscal authorities to provide guidance and lead key reporting standarsd across multiple location.

• Financial Consolidation: Oversee the consolidation of financial data from 33 legal entities ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Reporting: Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders including quarterly and annual reports.
• Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting complies with relevant regulations and standards.
• Team Leadership: Providing guidance and support to the local teams.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in consolidation and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Technical Support: Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex transactions and new accounting standards.
• Audit Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with external auditors managing the audit process and addressing any issues that arise.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders regarding financial performance and reporting.
• Central Key User: Manage and optimize the reporting tool ensuring it meets the needs of the organization and integrates seamlessly with other systems. Provide training and support to other users. Participate in tax projects e.g. HTE liquidations mergers acquisitions and restructurings etc.
• Coordinate with international colleagues and external tax advisors on tax matters
• Liaise with tax authorities external auditors and consultants to address tax audits and provide audit support
• Strengthen internal tax controls to mitigate potential risks

Qualifications :

1. Educational Background:
   • A Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field is essential.
   • Advanced degrees such as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or a Masters in Accounting are highly preferred
2. Professional Certifications:
   • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certifications (e.g. ACCA) are often required
3. Experience:
   • At least 510 years of experience in financial consolidation and reporting with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
   • Experience with multinational organizations and complex consolidation processes is highly valued
4. Technical Skills:
   • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant accounting standards
   • Proficiency in financial reporting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
5. Analytical and Communication Skills:
   • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
   • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights
6. Leadership and Management Skills:
   • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
