Position:Field Service Engineer
Location:Field based covering Northumberland
Job Type:Full Time Permanent Monday to Friday 39 hrs per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow service itinerary and procedures optimizing time and minimizing costs.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety COSHH and safe working procedures.
  • Undertake fault diagnosis rectification and maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment.
  • Work towards Key Point Indicators.
  • Complete and submit documentation accurately on a handheld device within agreed timescales.
  • Liaise with customers to schedule visits.
  • Request necessary materials for work completion.
  • Maintain a clean work area and complete documentation postservice.
  • Provide feedback and contribute ideas for product and service improvement.
  • Maintain tools spares and equipment in safe working condition.
  • Support other Service Engineers within the team when required.
  • Follow infection prevention and control policies.
  • Ensure compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of policies procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications:

  • City and Guilds/NTEC/ONC or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering (desirable)
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical engineering (essential)
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008 ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of customer service.
  • Valid UK driving license

Skills You Will Need:

  • Motivated and passionate about your work
  • Strong problemsolving skills and resourcefulness
  • Understanding of electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Good time management
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety principles
  • Basic IT skills and ability to work with an iPad and iPhone
  • Your personality enthusiasm energy and positivity are essential for building longterm relationships with our Service customers and driving the business forward.

Please Note:

  • An Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) Disclosure will be required (at the companys cost).
  • Participation in an outofhours rota is required.
  • Applicants must live within a reasonable location to the area covered.
  • A full manual driving license is required as you will be driving a manual company van.
