Metallus Internship Program

Internship Assignment: Full Time Summer 2025

  • Hands on experience shadowing refractory engineer
  • Assist in daily tasks project management and continuous improvement
  • Review inventory of refractory and usage in different areas
  • Interface with procurement and vendors to establish contracts
  • Collaborate with steelmaking operations to execute trials and drive best practices

Internship Qualifications:

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2025 semester
  • Must be a fulltime student attending an accredited twoyear or fouryear college/university
  • Preferred majors:Engineering Material Science Engineering
  • Organization skills
  • Presentation and documentation skills to communicate work and recommendations to move forward
  • Abilityto do some analysis using Excel or a statistical analysis program
