Why The Role Matters:
The Centre for Sustainable Development Reform (CSDR) established by the UNSW Faculty of Law and Justice in 2022 aims to connect knowledge and people to make small steps towards big changes. It creates safe spaces for changemakersfrom government business and wider societyto plan pragmatic action for a sustainable lowcarbon future informed by knowledge and insights from across the world.
Our team is made up of multidisciplinary focussed researchers who are working on topics at the intersections of economics politics law environmental management data science and development. The CSDR MEL and Partnership Manager will provide critical capacity to the CSDR team in the management of the GOAP Partnership and through the development and implementation of monitoring evaluation and learning frameworks across all CSDR projects. The CSDR MEL and Partnership Manager reports to the CSDR Manager and has no direct reports

- A relevant postgraduate qualification and demonstrated experience in building and managing high level relationships with a diverse range of partners including governments NGOs international organizations and academic institutions.
- Significant experience building and managing partnerships that support partnerled collaboration peertopeer learning and individual or institutional growth in a policy or social development landscape.
- Strong strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities with an ability to develop new programs and initiatives for a team supported by demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing MEL frameworks for research projects or programs that reflect a cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse international stakeholders.
- Highlevel interpersonal and communication skills with experience working with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to gender equality and social inclusion with the ability to integrate these principles into technical work and engage with diverse stakeholders in an inclusive and culturally sensitive manner.
Accountabilities:

- Manage and coordinate the Global Ocean Accounts Partnership (GOAP) ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the secretariat and between partners that promote collaboration knowledge exchange and mutual benefit supporting the strategic objectives of the GOAP in expanding the impact of Ocean Accounting.
- Develop and oversee partnership activities including the delivery of highlevel meetings workshops and events to engage stakeholders ensuring that objectives are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with GOAP Partnership stakeholders to provide specialist advice and guidance to Global Ocean Accounts Partnership (GOAP) in relation to administrative policies and processes.
- Work in collaboration with the CSDR research and technical teams to ensure planned engagement and activities are aligned with the requirements and precedences of stakeholders.
- Develop and implement comprehensive MEL strategies for CSDR research projects and programs focusing on the collection of highquality data to assess project impact and outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior researchers and leadership to ensure that MEL processes support the Centres research objectives and academic output.
- Establish and manage systems for ongoing monitoring tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and assessing progress against goals.
- Prepare regular MEL reports and updates for senior management partners and funders ensuring transparency and accountability and manage the delivery of midterm and final evaluations for various research projects and programs providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
