Job Description
What success looks like in this role:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detailoriented and reliable Data Center Technician to support our data center operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining hardware supporting infrastructure and ensuring smooth daytoday operations within the data center.
Key Responsibilities:
Install configure and troubleshoot servers and network equipment
Monitor data center systems and respond to alerts and incidents
Perform regular hardware maintenance and upgrades
Document procedures configurations and issues
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for support and escalation
Maintain physical security and environmental controls (power cooling cabling)
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in IT or related field preferred)
12 years of experience in a data center or IT support role
Basic understanding of networking server hardware and operating systems
Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) as needed
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Availability for shift work oncall support and occasional weekends
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ticketing systems and data center monitoring tools
Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices
Certifications such as CompTIA A Network or similar are a plus
