You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailDue to growth in our landbased provision we have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and selfmotivated Lecturer in Agriculture based at our Houghall Campus on a full time basis.
Main Duties of the Role:
Your role will be to deliver an ambitious curriculum to all through high quality teaching learning and assessment of allocated teaching programmes in animal management and associated subjects. The successful candidate will work as part of a passionate and supportive team to deliver qualifications from level 13 in agriculture.
The campus
Houghall Campus is located close to Durham City with excellent road and rail links. Our modern agriculture centre and 500 acre mixed farm provides excellent facilities for teaching with a further 21m development to deliver an ambitious state of the art teaching and learning block and additional agricultural buildings expected in the Autumn.
In our most recent Ofsted Inspection (April 2024 we were awarded Outstanding for the Behaviours and Attitudes and Personal Development of our learners which along with our excellent staff benefits makes Houghall Campus a great place to work.
Essential Requirement:
Either a degree in a relevant agricultural subject (or a level 3 qualification and industry experience) along with a passion for seeing studentsdevelop and progress is essential for this role.
While a recognised teaching qualification and previous teaching experience is desirable this role is also suitable for those with industry experience who possess a passion for education as the college provides an exceptionally supportive environment to develop your teaching skills.
