You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Information Technology (IT) Team providesdaily technical support for all coop members summer participants and summer programming. They also prepare for Fall/Winter technical needs. Working in small groups and serving all departments youth in these roles develop confidence and begin to master skills used in their analysis problem solving communication and overall participation in the workplace. Our waterfall mentorship model means you will help others to learn things you are already an expert in and others will help you learn things you are working on yourself. These roles are progressive over the summer and youth are afforded as much scope and responsibility as they are willing and able to handle. Its a great way to level up in a team setting where your voice and opinions genuinely make a difference daily.
We useGSuites for Non Profits Slack Discord Freshdesk and a number of other smaller products. There are computers printers IP telephones and other devices on site and at remote locations across Canada.
Contracts are funded by the Government of Canada and offered at the Ontario minimum wage.
These positions follow a hybrid work structure where employees both work from home and from the office/meet up location(s) as needed based on demands of specific tasks and projects.
Working from the office/studio or your local meet up location(s) will be required when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration or inperson supervision.
Training and Workshops for this role may be online or inperson.
Due to federal funding requirements for this position eligible applicants must:
Be 15 30 years of age on their first day of work
Be a Canadian citizen have permanent resident status or be protected under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Be present in Canada while working
Hold a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
Be aware that not all positions are funded in all locations
Help Desk Agent
Help Desk Agents evaluate and install software both network and cloudbased. They analyze and recommend strategies and solutions for effective use of technology. They monitor maintain and coordinate the ease of use between all network and cloud systems. They assist and coordinate with all the Information Technology employees throughout the whole organization and business partners as approved.
Computer Network Technician
Computer Network Technicians establish operate maintain and coordinate the use of local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs) mainframe networks hardware software and related computer equipment. They are responsible for designing the network in ways that optimize its performance. They ensure that all electronic equipment is functional and up to date ensuring that Coop devices can maintain proper connections with networks set up.
Web Developer
Web Developers handle a range of responsibilities that may include web design and development routine site and content maintenance and various updates to ensure sites align with the goals and objectives of the organization. They are responsible for maintaining servers and ensuring websites are functional userfriendly visually pleasing and uptodate.
Data Management Specialist
As a Data Management Specialist you will monitor set up the data collection ensure data is being collected and organize the data collection for inclusion for reports.
IT Team Leaders
In conjunction with the IT Manager you will provide leadership and mentorship for a small team of your peers to successfully complete IT tasks as assigned.
IT Manager
IT Managers work alongside a variety of stakeholders partners affiliates and members to facilitate software and program roll outs and provide IT support via FreshDesk. They will take part in hiring and onboarding processes for their prospective staff including training and orientation and will be responsible for scheduling guiding and supporting the departments work and goals.
Typical Work Hours
Typically work 35 hours per week
Rotational coverage for evenings and weekends as scheduled
