Special Education Consultant
To provide support to instructional programs for individuals requiring special education through implementationand evaluation of curriculum and methodology professional development training parent educationdemonstration teaching and assisting with transition planning. The special education consultant will assist theLEA/early childhood service providers with the problem solving process and participate in the identificationprocess and service planning for eligible individuals in the least restrictive environment. Serving as a teamrepresentative the special education consultant applies these domains of knowledge to the educationalcommunity through a problemsolving perspective for children birth through 21.
Education/Experience
- Masters degree in Special Education
- Teacher license and endorsement as Special Education Consultant or Early Childhood Special Education Consultant
- Four 4 years of successful teaching experience
- Such additions alternatives or deletions as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
