Job Description

Steam Table Operator


Classification: Nonexempt

Department: Operations

Reports to: Production Manager

Shift: 2nd Shift 3pm 11:30pm)


Full Job Descriptions


Summary/Objective

Steam Table operator are responsible for steam sizing and coupling all TPU hose


Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

  1. Steam Table operators pick up extruded hose from the extrusion lines upon completion of the extrusion process
  2. Steam table operators lay out the extruded hose onto the steam table attach the hoses to the heads and size the hose to the standard OD
  3. Couple test and mark all TPU hoses per the job order
  4. Complete all shop floor paperwork per the internal and external standards
  5. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  6. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor
  7. Attains production goals by accurately and timely completing work orders with minimum supervision
  8. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  9. Responsible for personal compliance of all OSHA and Bulldog Hose rules and regulations
  10. Follows the Bulldog Hose Quality Assurance Program by accurately performing the required tasks as directed by team leader


NonEssential Functions

  1. Accurately records time worked and allocates time to the appropriate job(s)
  2. May operate a forklift as needed

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles oil and grease. The team member is occasionally exposed to vibration. The team member occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and performs work from a variety of different angles and body positions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is very active and requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping twisting crouching and crawling all day. The team member is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls and to climb or balance. The team member is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear

The team member must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds; and frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a fulltime 2nd shift position. Days of work are Monday through Thursday 3pm to 1:30am


Opportunities to work extended hours and on the weekend work may be optional or required as job duties demand


Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma or GED diploma or three to six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Industry experience
