We are looking for Engineers to work as a team that will deploy AWS Systems Manager (SSM) services to airgapped regions and support government customers operating in those regions. Youll be part of a truly innovative team in a fastpaced environment that has the entrepreneurial feel of a startup. This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale and to gain topnotch experience in cloud computing. Youll become an expert at platform diagnosis response measurement and automation. You will design and build the operational scalability that sustains the platforms insane growth.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that after start the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include
Troubleshooting diagnosing and fixing production software issues
Developing monitoring solutions
Performing software maintenance and configuration
Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl Ruby C/C JAVA Python)
Updating tracking and resolving technical challenges

Working alongside development on AWS projects
Updating/enhancing our current software
Automation of support processes and documentation of our systems

Associates degree or above or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C C# Java Python Golang PowerShell Ruby
Experience tools for automation (building testing releasing or monitoring)
Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language
Experience on highly concurrent high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems
Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
