Master Planner

Michelin is hiring!

THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has an immediate opening for a Master Planner who ensures our companys operations are timely efficient and costeffective. You will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand analyzing inventory flow and developing forecast models. WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Create a production plan (and for some activities a delivery plan) and distribute weekly to meet customer needs over the shortterm horizon
  • Manage shipping and receiving of products to and from warehouse/customers
  • Influence/challenge partners to validate proposed forecasts based on qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Develop scenarios to establish monthly quarterly and annual demand forecasts using the existing models
  • Steers demand forecast accuracy and applies corrective action plan
  • Reconciles forecast variance analysis with business trends and recommends progress plans to organization
  • Disaggregates demand plan based on the mix to feed operations
  • Implement and contribute to system/process improvements within group with managers guidance.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts budgets and business strategies
  • Address demandrelated issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Develop performance metrics reporting tools and establishes adhoc reporting to improve department efficiency
  • Automate highly manual and errorprone activities to support crossfunctional processes

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Knowledge to help drive digitalization to the planning team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a demand planner
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • BS/BA degree in Business Supply Chain Management Information Systems or related field
  • 4 years minimum experience in Supply Chain or Procurement required
  • Ability to interact with functional and crossfunctional teams
  • Strong presentation skills at all levels
  • Solid working knowledge of MRP/ERP system SAP Preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills Expert level preferred
