Job Description

Halifax Elementary School is seeking to hire fully credentialed certified rulesbased reading teacher to service general and special education students attending Halifax Elementary School.

The assignment is anticipated to start in the middle of October 2024 and last approximately 8 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onetoone and/or small group direct rules based reading instruction for identified students.

Advise teachers regarding planning implementation and assessment of specialized reading programs for students with substantial disabilities at elementary middle and high school levels.

Maintain data of student performance and complete data informed summary reports for all students.

Coordinate and develop a service schedule with the classroom and special education teachers for students.

Responsible for the daytodayand weekly progress monitoring of students assigned to their caseload.

Certification as a Reading Specialist is required.
