The Opportunity
Youll ensure regulatory compliance and facilitate the effective operation of the ACECs GTRC and RSC. This includes providing specialist advice on animal research ethics gene technology research radiation research and biosecurity ensuring highquality support for committee processes and applications. Youll also contribute to continuous process improvements develop resources for researchers and deliver training.
The Research Ethics & Compliance Officer reports to the Manager of Research Ethics & Compliance and has no direct reports.

About the successful applicant
You have a relevant tertiary qualification and or significant experience in animal research ethics gene technology radiation research and biosecurity and can demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Indepth knowledge of relevant codes and legislation critical thinking and excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Provision of highlevel secretariat support to ethics committees in a digital paperless environment.
- Advanced written and verbal communication meticulous recordkeeping and the ability to interpret and apply complex policies.
- Wellorganised autonomous and proficient in Microsoft 365 and digital tools including website and online course management
- Stakeholder engagement and providing expert advice in research ethics and compliance.
- Commitment to UNSWs values and health and safety practices.
