Job Description

The Centre for Online Learning & Professional Studies at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for a Parttime Academic Instructor to teach ENGL 111 Literature and Academic Writingin Spring 2025.

Course Number and Title: ENGL 111 Literature and Academic Writing

Start and End Dates: April 21 2025 July 11 2025

Class Schedule: April 28 2025 June 26 2025

Delivery Mode: Online

Duties

PartTime Academic Instructor positions involve the normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course including but not limited to preparation and delivery of course content; development administration and marking of assignments tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; and holding regular office hours.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a PhD or Masters degree with significant experience in the course area. Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience with online teaching platforms are assets.
