Overview
Biomedical research increasingly requires the application of data science methods. This data scientist will become a member of the Research Informatics and Data Science team and will work on a variety of research projects that inform and improve care. The

Responsibilities
- Data from disparate Childrens Mercy data resources is an important input into research. The Sr. Data Scientist compiles community data resources and national deidentified data resources and assembles into topicfocused data marts for subsequent analysis
- Conducts data quality evaluations and informs a process for data intake processing and documentation.
- Engages curiosity and contributes to the analysis and interpretation of data using machine learning methods and other data science techniques.
- Participate as an active member of the scientific community at Childrens Mercy through publication continuous learning and communication of findings. They will participate in the education mission of the organization.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. and 12 years experience in healthcare data and/or data science related roles. or
- Masters Degree and 35 years experience in healthcare data and/or data science related roles. or
- Bachelors Degree and 57 years experience in healthcare data and/or data science related roles.

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $48.12/hr but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This position is not eligible to work remotely which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Childrens Mercy locations and may not work from home.
