About the team:
Our team is responsible for all aspects of eBays finance analytics and information technology functions including controllership procurement financial planning and analysis tax treasury audit mergers and acquisitions and investor relations. At eBay we love data so finance plays a relevant role in establishing strategic focus enabling growth ensuring and driving efficiencies across the organization. eBay has adapted exceptionally well to virtual work and will be flexible when a return to office occurs.
Job Description
The Accounting team in Austin Texas rolls up to the Shared Services Center which is in charge of accounting for more than 60 global entities (and growing). Working with our international accounting counterparts we excel at maintaining the highest quality of accounting and compliance in our daily activities.
We are looking for an Indirect Tax Compliance (ITC) Accounting Manager to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the larger ITC team in the area of tax compliance and accounting while coordinating with regional functional teams to ensure consistency and standardization of global processes.
- Review of consolidated working papers supporting various global filings including Sales and Use tax filings for our U.S. operations and various other global indirect tax obligations.
- Lead projects and implement new processes and controls in response to changes in the business environment such as new tax requirements changes in technology standards and internal process changes.
- Owning the regular monthly close process as well as externally facing statutory reporting activities.
- Maintaining worldclass reconciliations of all G/L accounts and integrity of financial statements at a transaction level.
- Supervising compliance related activities performed by various thirdparty support teams
Experience and Relevant Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting. CPA / ACCA CIMA JD is a plus.
- 8 years general ledger accounting and indirect tax compliance experience is required.
- Experience leading projects driving process improvements and operational efficiencies. Experience in automation technologies preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities and collaboration with crossfunctional teams to deliver results.
- Great teammate and ability to work independently.
- Selfmotivated engaged by a fastpaced environment and handling challenges and tight deadlines with ease.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills. SAP Financial System experience or other ERP.

$84800 $146900Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
