Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up orders for daily shipment delivery or pickup
- Locate and retrieve parts from inventory at the request of retail and wholesale parts salespersons
- Deliver the requested parts to the appropriate parts counter shipping/delivery desk and dealership repair shop as directed by parts salespersons.
- Make sure that parts pulled and delivered are accompanied by the paperwork required by parts department policy.
- With or without supervision perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the parts department safe clean and in good order.
- Assist the shipper/receiver in placing parts in their proper locations in bins shelves or racks etc.
- Assist in the parts departments perpetual inventory as directed by management.
- Assist the shipping and receiving clerk (stocker) in their duties when not performing the aforementioned duties.
JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
- Prompt and accurate retrieval and delivery of parts within the department.
- Strict attention to detail regarding the paperwork accompanying parts pulled and delivered to the retail desk shipping and receiving and the repair shop.
- Safe orderly and clean condition of the parts department.
- A high level of cooperation with all parts department personnel.
- A high level of uniform appearance personal hygiene and work habits.
- Full time 40hr week
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Have experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
- Are able to work in a fastpaced work environment
- Have strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ford and Lincoln experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move heavy objects
- Valid drivers license
- Fork lift Experience is preferred but not required
