Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

SC certification as a Speech Language Pathologist or ability to obtain appropriate certification

College degree from an accredited program of speech pathology

Skilled in evaluation planning and implementing services for eligible students

Work experience related to the care and development of children required

Experience with nonverbal and limited verbal communication preferred

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Supporter and advocate of the inclusion model for students

Knowledge of instruction and innovative teaching methods

Skill in interpersonal relations with pupils parents teachers staff and the general public

Outstanding references from current and former supervisors

Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report

Salary Range: Speech Therapist Pay Schedule

Length of Contract: 190 days

Starting Date:School Year

College transcripts three references and a copy of appropriate credentials should also be submitted to the Personnel Department at the above address.

Prior to employment the District will request a criminal record history check for past action of crimes. For this reason information about date of birth gender and race is requested as a part of the application process.
