Job Description

Position: Tax Associate
Department: Finance
Reporting to: Director of Tax
Location: Topeka KS onsite
Overview:
Are you ready to jumpstart your career in tax and accounting Were looking for a detailoriented highly motivated individual to join our Finance team as a Tax Associate. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or earlycareer professionals who are ready to grow in a supportive fastpaced environment where your contributions truly matter.
As a Tax Associate youll play a key role in keeping our multientity multistate tax filings and compliance processes running smoothly. Youll gain handson experience with a wide range of tax and accounting functions while working alongside a collaborative and experienced team.
What youll do:
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple states and entities
  • Support annual reporting requirements and ensure timely submissions
  • Help calculate and prepare 1099 forms
  • Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings and mailings
  • Process tax payments and confirm ontime remittance
  • Keep documentation and spreadsheets organized and up to date
  • Tackle special projects and additional duties as needed
Experience youll bring:
  • A solid foundation in accounting principles and a genuine interest in tax
  • Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to meet deadlines in a fastmoving environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
Bonus Points:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • Internship or parttime experience in tax accounting or finance
  • Experience assisting with tax filings or document preparation
