AMD is hiring softwareengineersto join our Linux Open Source Graphics team in Bangalore Karnatakalocation. Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for:
- Open source GPU driver feature development based on Engineering and Marketing requirements;
- Contributions to the opensource software projects which comprise the Linux graphics driver stack (Linux kernel Mesa Wayland etc.;
- GPU driver bringup and qualification on new hardware platforms;
- GPU driver performance analysis and optimization;
- Investigation analysis and resolution of issues as reported by Customers and QA.
Minimum Skillset:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) with 6years of experience Masters degree with 5years of experience
- Proficient in C and C programming
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Broad technical knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Proven experience with at least one of Linux Graphics 2D components like:
- Compositors: Weston/Chrome Compositor/Xorg/Hardware composer/Sway
- Display Protocols: X11/Wayland
- Toolkits: Wlroots/QT
- Window managers: Mutter/Sway
- Frameworks: DRM/V4L2/Fbdev
Preferred Skillset:
- Proven contributions any opensource communitybased project is a plus.
- Experience with opensource Radeon/AMDGPU graphics driver programming is a strong plus.
- Experience with any of these Linux graphics components will be a strong plus:
- MESA 3D
- DRM/DRI
- VAAPI
- Experience with opensource communitybased discussions and projects.
- Experience with Linux build and packaging tools (make rpm dpkg)
- Linux systems administration skills
