Job Description:
Perform a variety of duties to ensure gage and calibration of tools utilized to ensure development and production of rocket engine components subassemblies and related hardware meet quality guidelines.
Position level will be filled based on education and experience of identified candidate.
Essential Functions:
- Plan operations setup work and select methods to perform inspection or calibration functions.
- Inspect and calibrate gages fixtures and test equipment including to assess for damage wear and serviceability.
- Utilize tools such as microhite rotary tables optical comparators sine bars and other precision measuring equipment to perform close tolerance inspection operations.
- Calibrate and inspect electrolimit and air gages hardness testers contour readers profilemeters torque calibration systems laser interferometers electronic level autocollimator and other applicable precision measuring instruments.
- Recognize and disposition nonconforming material in accordance with requirements.
- Maintain and review history records maintenance and gage schedules preventive maintenance data systems logs and prepare reports as required.
- Comply with the correct operation care use and maintenance of equipment housekeeping and safe work practices.
- Conduct audits when required and report findings.
- Actively engage inContinuous Improvement Processes have a working knowledge of lean principles and identify improvements as they apply to current working environment.
- Move up to 32 pounds.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Requires 36 months of directly related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 23 years trade school highly desirable.
- Prior experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to use precision inspection tools with high degree of accuracy.
- Experience in / Understanding of electronics / electronic systems.
- Experience in / Understanding of pressure systems.
- Experience with / strong understanding of AS9100 Calibration Standards.
- Experience with / strong understanding of IS17025 Calibration Standards.
- Computer skills necessary to participate in compiling weekly calibration measures and distribute near term out of date calibration assets to tool owners.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- ISO17025 audit and compliance experience.
- Uncertainty in measurement budget calculation experience.
- Prior experience in technical writing and generation of standard work.
- Prior experience in theAerospace industry is a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger handle or feel.
- The employee is regularly expected to stand walk sit reach with hands and arms stoop and kneel.
- Possible exposure to xrays.
- Intermittent exposure to oil alkali and acid solutions when processing handling and inspecting parts.
- Exposure to occasional noise when working in test areas.
- Use of personal protective equipment is required.
- Ability to pull and push is required
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role is $33.76/hr $51.91/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
