As a Sr. Manager in the Tech Cyber Data and Resiliency (TCDR) team in Capital Ones Bank and Premium Product Division you will apply your analytical risk management project management and data expertise to the companys data. You will partner across Enterprise Services Divisional data teams Second Line of defense and Technology teams to develop and support bestinclass industry data risk identification and mitigation solutions in a manner that supports innovation while protecting our customers shareholders and associates. Collaboration with various teams will entail implementation of risk and control tools techniques and frameworks for the division as well as provide data risk advisory services to our first line control owners. Your contributions will drive organizational change through effective and proactive risk identification measurement analysis and reporting in order to better manage the companys risk in an open and collaborative environment.
In this highly collaborative role you will apply expertise on risk best practices to assess current state identify gaps and assess data risk threats and business impact. You will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with technology and data executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. The successful candidate will be a professional with deep knowledge of data risk frameworks control environments risk assessments regulatory and internal governance data analysis and reporting technology functions and customer engagement with strong analytical planning problemsolving strategic thinking organizational and first rate communication skills. This role will report to the Sr. Director Cyber Risk & Analysis within the Bank.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Bank and Premium Product divisional data teams to assess their compliance with the divisional and enterprise level data controls.
Lead identification assessment monitoring and reporting on data risks inherent to business and technology concepts.
Lead data risk assessments of large scale technology change initiatives to ensure all of the risks and potential areas of non compliance are identified documented and planned for appropriate remediation.
Apply understanding of data controls to proactively mitigate risks to the business.
Influence control owners and other stakeholders to build consensus on risk mitigation and remediation strategies.
Provide oversight and guidance on key strategic dataimpacting initiatives and assess impact of these initiatives on the divisions control environment
Identify and implement continual program enhancements based on industry standards and best practices related to data model and computation automation risk management for eCommerce and financial services industries
Design and implement information based internal risk and control governance
Build successful relationships with line of business risk offices and team members to understand impact of data risk on critical business processes
Support Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs) and audits
Provide leadership coaching and mentorship to more junior team members and assign tasks as needed.
Assist the TCDR team in delivering against their strategy and service model.
Manage implement and deliver on a subset of the program deliverables
Set direction manage expectations and lead crossfunctional teams
Gather data and reporting; perform initial analysis or potentially evaluate data
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in Risk Management or Audit
At least 3 years of experience in Data management data risk or data processes
At least 3 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of Financial Services or eCommerce risk management experience
Risk management certifications such as Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP) Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) etc.
3 years experience in performing Control Self Assessments (CSAs) or completing assessments against established industry risk frameworks including: the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
3 years of experience performing data analysis in support of internal risk assessments and control reviews
3 years consulting experience

The minimum and maximum fulltime annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean VA: $170800 $194900 for Sr. Risk ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
