General SummaryThis position oversees general secondary process activities and supervises operators in the secondary operations department.- Participate in the hiring/interview process and provide input as needed
- Participate in conducting employee reviews
- Conduct and document any required or necessary employee training and/or testing for new and existing directreports
- Assign duties and issue verbal or written work instructions
- Address employee complaints and grievances with the assistance of Human Resources
- Review and approve timecards and time off requests weekly
- Issue disciplinary warnings
- Assist department employees in performing duties
- Review update and/or create job descriptions and work instructions for direct reports as needed
- Monitor Sorting GP12 and all machining processes in the secondary department to ensure that productmeets customer quality requirementsmeet customer due dates
- Develop and update necessary work instruction with the assistance of the Document Coordinator
- Review assemble and update the GP12 operation books
- Responsible for updating and maintaining training document records
- Backup for creating and updating PWIBs and work instructions for equipment and processes as needed
- Create and update training material including required labels and signs
- Organize and conduct 5S training for all employees including new hires
- Plan and oversee the implementation of 5S system in all areas of the organization
Must have at least 5 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing setting.
