Job Description
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate milling machines according to job specifications and engineering drawings
- Select appropriate tools machine speeds and feed rates
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to machines as needed
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean organized workspace
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade certificate or qualification in Machining Fitting & Turning or Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)
- Proven experience operating milling machines in a production or workshop environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with both manual and CNC milling machines is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
