You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJob Duties: The Quant Developer (multiple openings) at MPG Operations LLC in Miami FL will develop front office web applications by gathering business requirements through interactions with the Firms senior stakeholders. Prototype new web features and applications including lowfidelity and highfidelity prototypes mocks and design sketches. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to present work and solicit feedback to drive innovation. Integrate new applications and features with the Firms existing proprietary services tools and internal and external data sources. Audit existing technology environments to ensure that all front office web applications are working optimally. Resolve user questions and customize tools according to their specific trading needs. Investigate and fix bugs issues outages or discrepancies with these systems as the subject matter expert for front office web applications. Plan the development of additional features based on user feedback. Write and perform automated tests and audits to ensure system performance. Test application performance on various platforms to verify presentation of correct data including MLP Launchpad and browser for development preproduction and production environments. Telecommuting permitted 1 day per week. Salary: $175000 to $250000 per year.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 3 years in a quantitative developer or related occupation in the financial or investment industry. Must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: 1 develop web applications using TypeScript and JavaScript including React; 2 develop frontoffice financial applications; 3 data visualization tools including and Highcharts; 4 data grid libraries including aggrid; and 5 backend programming language including Python Java or C. Must include 1 year of experience with: 6 risk models and performance attribution; 7 RPC frameworks including gRPC protobuf and grpcweb; 8 testing frameworks including Cypress and @testinglibrary; and 9 UI and UX design using Figma.
