Howdens isrecruiting anElectrical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing site in Howden East Yorkshire. This role will support proactive/preventative maintenance of our manufacturing equipment services utilities and improvement projects and provide support to reactive breakdown maintenance as required.

The ideal candidate could have either completed an engineering apprenticeship or have relevant engineering qualifications with proven manufacturing or industrial experience. Additionally a good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment.

Pay rate:53827.28 per annum (Inclusive of Basic rate shift & disturbance allowance)

Shift pattern:

• Week 1 Wednesday Thursday Friday 6am6pm
• Week 2 Monday Tuesday 6am6pm Wednesday Thursday 6pm6am
• Week 3 Sunday Monday Tuesday 6pm6am
• 7 days off

What would you be doing as an Electrical Engineer:

• Proactive and preventative maintenance
• Reactive breakdown maintenance
• Continual improvement projects
• Ownership and development of specific production line maintenance
• Supporting and engaging with lean manufacturing

Key skills and experience required for the Electrical Engineer:

• Experienced in maintaining multiaxis (CNC) manufacturing machinery
• Extraction plants
• Experience in woodworking manufacturing plant desirable
• PUWER experience would be desirable
• Knowledge and experience of Siemens s7 PLCPLC Pilz Safety PLC and PLC would be desirable
• Fault finding rootcause analysis and corrective actions
• Experience of computerised maintenance management systems
• NVQ Level 3 essential
