General Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Paraprofessional License
- Experience as an interpreter for the hearing impaired preferred
- Demonstrated basic understanding of and use of major sign language systems (Signed English American Sign Language) with special emphasis on Signed English
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Associate degree preferred
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to use basic computer skills keyboarding Microsoft Word
Reports to
- Building Administrator
Terms of Employment
- 180day position with wages hours terms and conditions of employment in accordancewith the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board of Education and theDanville Education Association
