Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- This position requires at minimum a 30 day Substitute Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
- Candidates can qualify to apply for this Permit if they have a Bachelors degree
- All Candidates need to have a Certificate of Clearance on the CTC before being authorized to work. This link will lead tothe information candidates needto fulfill this requirement.
Important InformationRegarding the Basic Skills Requirement:
- On June 29 2024 Governor Gavin Newsomsigned a budget trailer bill SB 153 (Chap. 38 Statutes of 2024 that allows candidates to use their bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (IHE) as demonstration of the basic skills requirementeffective immediately.PSA 2407:outlines theBachelors Degree froma regionally accredited institution of higher education (IHE) as demonstration of the Basic Skills Requirement.
- If your circumstances indicate you need this exam you may already meet CBEST/Basic Skills through your SAT ACT coursework or another qualifying exam.Please check here for Basic Skills Requirement informationandherefor information about the CBEST exam.
- Be prepared to work every instructional day as assigned on a daytoday or longterm basis
- Sign a temporary contract designed specifically for this purpose
- Participate in district and/or school site inservices as assigned
- Two current professional references including from a Supervisor
