Job Description
Secondary Chinese Teacher. School District of Kansas City 33 d/b/a Kansas City Public Schools. Kansas City Missouri. Teach Chinese to public secondary school students. Instruct students by lecturing demonstrating and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations. Plan Chinese language program and organize daily class time so that student preparation for class and instructions are accomplished. Provide individual and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student. Administer tests to evaluate student progress record results and issue progress reports for parents. Develop instructional strategies and course objectives to achieve Chinese language curriculum goals while following guidelines or requirements of state and school. Participate in curriculum faculty committees developmental programs and teacher training workshops. Plan a balanced Chinese language program and organize daily class time so that student preparation for class and instructions are accomplished. Select and requisition books and instructional aids; maintain required inventory records. Requires a Bachelors degree in Teaching Education or a related degree. Demonstrated experience teaching in secondary education. Requires Missouri State Teacher Certification in Chinese (K12.
