SUMMARY
The hybrid school psychologist will provide consultation office hour services and triage referrals to the designated school site. During office hours the psychologist will make recommendations for additional support or provide guidance regarding a recommendation for evaluation. The psychologist will conduct evaluations according to state and district guidelines. Upon the completion of the assessment process the psychologist will attend team meetings to interpret data and to provide feedback regarding interventions..
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree in Psychology or related field.
Valid State of Arizona School Psychologist Certificate.
Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Knowledge of IDEA and Special Education rules and regulations.
Strong psychometric background including an understanding of and ability to use a variety of normative criterionbased and informal assessments.
Knowledge of the evaluation procedures for a diverse student population including those with sensory and physical impairments.
Understanding of child development learning disorders developmental disorders and behavioral management.
Ability to communicate complex psychological data to others (parents teachers etc. in a meaningful way both orally and in writing.
Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences.
Knowledge of K12 curricula.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EdS or PhD in School Psychology licensed Psychologist in AZ.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
Must release Social Security Number to be eligible for AHCCCSProvider ID Number.
Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
Valid Drivers license (Arizona Drivers Licenserequiredwithin 30 days of hire)
MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described underGoverning Board Policy: EEBR1Business and Personnel Transportation Services Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described underGoverning Board Policy: EEBR1Business and Personnel Transportation Services Transportation by Employees
