Job Description
The Grounds Maintenance team
Were responsible for the cyclical upkeep of the communal areas to our customers. This covers a large geographical area and our customers includes market rent shared ownership and independent living communities on many estates or the whole estate. We also provide a reactionary service where we have to deal with hazards which can be anything from dumped items to clearing snow on our independent living blocks.
Were also responsible for the management of the trees and like to retain as many as possible or replant if any are removed. We believe that the treesplay a big part in our communities by providing shade in the summer and promote a healthy wellbeing as well as offsetting our carbon footprint.
Your new role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operativeto join our team based in Horndean where youll cover Horndean Petersfield Ham Barn Lissand surrounding area and we need you!
Were looking for a proactive great team player and someone with a good eye for detail whos looking for a new challenge.
Working within a team youll be responsible for the upkeep of the external communal areas grass shrubs and hedges and have the flexibility to plan your workload within a fortnightly may also be required to undertake soft landscaping/minor tree work.
Were looking for someone with a minimum one year experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic selfmotivated and welldriven individual looking to contribute to a dynamic and diverse team. Were always looking to improve ourselves and empower the lives of residents and communities they live in.
Dont worry about getting from site to site well provide you with an Abri van.
What youll need:
Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience
PA1 and PA6AW qualifications (desirable but not essential)
NPTC certification or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
A full drivers licence (with towing licence desirable)
